REQUIREMENTS & REGISTRATION

If you do not have an HCR/Spordle account and you are interested in volunteering, please contact the RMHA Registrar (registrar@russellwarriors.ca)

Individuals interested in an Executive Board Member position are invited to contact the RMHA president with their interest (president@russellwarriors.ca)

NOTE: all volunteers will be required to have or obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC). Dependent on the volunteer position additional courses may be required. Course and VSC fees are re-imbursed.

The chart below can be used as a quick reference for volunteer requirements at the various positions. Please note that for Bench and On-Ice Staff the certification requirements are provided in detail in Section 6.25 of the  Hockey Eastern Ontario (HEO) Policies

1 U9 coaches that were trained prior to the 2017/2018 season who have obtained Coach 2 status do not have to complete Coach 1
2 only required for participation with teams outside their House League or League (exhibition or tournament play) OR if the Head Coach was not available.
3 U13 or higher who were previously qualified with Development 1 of High Performance 1 can coach with this and do not require Coach 2.
4 U7 program on-ice volunteers are coach/assistant coach aides and are not to be involved in coaching/teaching/instructing in any manner. Their role is to assist the coaches with player and equipment movement and other related duties
