As we wrap up an incredible 25/26 season, it’s time to look back and celebrate the individuals who make the Russell Minor Hockey Association so special. We are officially opening nominations for three of our most prestigious year-end awards.

🏆 Coach Phil Marchessault Sportsmanship Award

We invite you to nominate a player who embodies the true spirit of the game. This award recognizes a player who goes above and beyond to encourage their teammates and shows unwavering resilience, win or lose.

Phil was a dedicated coach in Russell who we tragically lost in 2017. His legacy lives on through his wife, Peggy—who continues to volunteer with the RMHA—and their children. It is a true honor that the Marchessault family personally selects and presents this award.

🏒 Coach of the Year

Help us recognize a bench staff member who demonstrated extraordinary passion. This award is for the coach who went the extra mile to ensure this season was enjoyable and impactful for every player on the team.

🌟 Peter Kruys Volunteer Appreciation Award

Our association runs on the heart of our volunteers. Named after the legendary Peter Kruys, this award honors an outstanding community member who serves as a positive role model and leader for our youth.
